Blog News & Announcements
No matter how or what you celebrate, may your holidays be happy and filled with those you love. Blessings to all in this season of love and peace.
I’ve finally decided to move completely away from Blogger in favor of WordPress. This blog was the last holdout and well… here I am!
I’ve moved as many of the old posts over as was feasible. Unfortunately, most of my Treasury Tuesday posts have gone the way of the dodo bird, as has the Linked Within feature. I honestly don’t think anyone is even going to miss either of them. I’ve also condensed three pages from the old blog into one and added a contact box in the event that anyone wants to send me a message directly, instead of posting it as a comment. All of the categories and tags have been redone and are hopefully a little more organized than they’ve been in the past.
If you’ve followed me over from Blogger, thank you! If you’ve discovered this blog via WordPress, welcome!
Wishing everyone a creative day!
A friend smacked me with the proverbially rolled-up newspaper and gave me a thorough scolding for not keeping up with this blog. It was a well deserved lecture as it’s been months since my last post. How is it that I’ve managed to ignore this blog for so long? I’m sure my readers- all two of you- think I’ve probably succumbed to some strange and rare fate (beriberi? bubonic plague? zombie attack?).
I’m happy to report that I’m not dead yet, just consumed with this wonderful and bizarre thing that some folks refer to as a life. There’s been nothing particularly magical or tragical about the last few months, just incredibly packed with goings-on. I haven’t had nearly the time I’d like for creative activities, though. The few small projects I’ve started seem to be taking forever to complete. I’ll post more on those later. For now, I just wanted to drop by my own blog, say that I’m still here, and make way for some new posts.
See you soon (I promise!),
It’s Thanksgiving day in the States and I just wanted to take a second for a little show of gratitude. Thank you, dear reader, for stopping by to browse through my ramblings. Thank you to all the fabulous friends, family, acquaintances, and strangers who have meandered into my life. You are the inspiration for so much of what I do – whether funny or dramatic, light-hearted or grave, inspiring or irreverent. Thank you all!
Some of you may recall that back in January, I announced that I was separating out my nature-related photos and would be publishing them on wordpress under my Blessed Nature blog. While I love the format of that blog, I am not in love with number of spam comments that I’ve had to delete from the account. Of my two wordpress blogs, the photography blog seems to attract more spammers than actual viewers. So, I’m considering migrating the photos back to this blog and phasing out Blessed Nature by the end of the year. I like the way the wordpress blog showcases the photos, but I’m willing to give up a little bit of pretty in order to not have to delete so many spam comments.
If anyone has any thoughts or opinions on the subject, give me a shout. Otherwise, expect to see more photos here and less on wordpress in the near future.
I’m running a little behind at the moment, but just wanted to say that I hope you all had a great and safe 4th of July!
