It was a dark and stormy night when the second necklace came into being… no really, there was a raging thunderstorm going on. Since it’s a very calming, protective piece, it’s probably going to get christened “Weathering the Storm”. The pendant is made of blue kyanite and the accent beads include blue lace agate, opalite glass, iolite, blue glass, and denim quartz.
What I’ve Been Up To
It’s been a mad, mad world lately, but I’m still here and still creating. I delved into my jewelry-making supplies the other day and have been playing with those. The results so far have been to make necklaces from a couple of hand wrapped pendants that have been too long without a home.
The first pendant is made of rhodonite, wire-wrapped with a bit of rose quartz and rhodocrosite, with a chain that features more rhodonite with red jasper lentil beads. This one has a sweet, peaceful feel to it.
The jewelry making supplies aren’t just yielding necklaces, however. I’ve put together three new divination pendulums for the shop as well. A bloodstone pendant that has been laying around the craft room for years has finally found a home, as have a piece of green sea-glass and an oddly faceted gold stone. Sometimes, it just takes a while for a piece to decide what it wants to be when it grows up. Me, I’m happy to have these guys on their way out of the nest.
P.S. If you like these, they are (or soon will be) posted to LunaSeas on Etsy. Come by and buy?
