Celebrating the Written Word – Part II

The night air has become crisp and sharp, gently nibbling at the flesh in a preview of winter’s cold bite. Trees shake their drying fire-cloaked limbs like phantom rattles. The harvest moon becomes a celestial jack o’ lantern to light our way through ethereal mists. The raven and crow serenade us with harsh lullabies as the smell of wood fires drifts in through the window. It is fall and our minds turn to…

NaNo? Amidst the harvest celebrations and Halloween preparations, some of us delight over another autumn tradition, a month long novel writing frenzy. National Novel Writing Month begins November 1st and runs the length of that month. Whether a first time novelist or an established pro, NaNoWriMo is an opportunity to push the limits of your literary abilities by writing a 50,000 word novel in 30 days (or less!). It’s madness disguised as art and insanity cloaked in inspiration. It’s also wickedly fun and challenging.

I’ll be there, working on my novel, which is as of yet untitled. More to come in future blog posts about my novel for this year. If you want to join the fray, click on the picture above to go to the website. Happy writing!
